First Christmas

It seems amazing to me that Thanksgiving is already next week, and the holiday season has officially begun. Somehow, it happened without me! Last night it really hit me when we went for a family stroll along Main Street in downtown Los Altos and every tree was aglow with white Christmas lights, and every store window had an enticing and festive display. We got hot cocoa and enjoyed the fallen leaves and crisp air. Henry was absolutely memorized by the lights, and we realized he has never seen them before! The unexpected surprise of the festive downtown really jump started my holiday cheer, and got me excited for the season. I am sure it is going to be an exciting time for our family, with too many things to be thankful for.
