My very own room

Since Henry was born, he has been sleeping mere inches from my side of the bed, in a gorgeous wooden cradle that my grandfather built for me when I was born. It has been so perfect! Well, Henry is growing so fast, it won't be long before he doesn't fit in it anymore.

To get help him transition to the crib in his own room, we thought we would let him start by having a few daytime naps there. The first time we plopped him in, he looked around, fascinated by all the colors and rocket ships, cooed, and sucked his pacifier Maggie Simpson style for all of 5 minutes until he fell asleep.

He also snuggled with his new plush bunny that is half stuffed animal, half blankie just his size. He has just started grabbing things and loves to hold anything he can in his little fists while drifting off.

I was of course sobbing while taking these pictures. I can't imagine not being able to hear his slow, heaving breathing and his little coos and grunts next to me while we sleep! Tragedy.

Here he is in his little cradle, but clutching his bunny.
